High School Memories…Well, it’s that time of year again….much hubbub about the prom, class night, college acceptances, job interviews, class year book, class trip and just the end of senior year pranks and assorted activities. I think they call it “School Spirit” these days…everybody embroiled, one way or another, in some aspect of high school graduation and supporting hoopla. For some, it is a glorious time of year, senior slump almost over and you didn’t even flunk out!
For others, it’s like dragging a ball and chain…when will this year ever end! Let me give you a wake-up call….make sure you enjoy all you can…before you know it, you will be looking at an invitation to your 10th year reunion. Time waits for no one! Take plenty of pictures and videos that you will want to share with your children and grandchildren…so, if you have the propensity to do nudity, participate in hangover heaven, and/or just perform outrageous stunts in recognition of the “Wonder Years”, take heed and think a minute or two, just in case the opportunity comes by in the future for you to run for political office and/or become a CEO of a major corporation. You know the consequence…just read today’s headlines!
These days you never know who is taking a picture and/or video of whom or what…remember, the papparazzi is not only a Hollywood phenomenon…That’s the downside of the 21st century…Media infiltrates every aspect of our society and no one is excluded from its glaring reach.
So, as you enjoy the festivities of high school graduation, try to grasp the importance of making responsible, adult decisions as you tardy for the party…like nominate a designated driver, no cell phone/text driving, a pox on destructive behavior, and support your peers responsibly.
Congratulations on your success and the mothers of MADD thank you!
