The Cost of Infamy…I am really tired of all the public focus on Tiger Woods…Enough is enough already…I know, I know…he is a golf star and folks just want him to get back in the groove of winning tournaments and making them feel good. After all, he is the greatest golfer ever…or so they say.
The price of celebrity is often unforgiving, particularly when it is backed up by inexcusable behavior. He certainly is not alone in his transgressions, but his active promotion of a duplicitous persona…role model vs. lothario, leaves a bad, bad karma. Too bad, he did not live his life as Joe Citizen…then nobody would know and he could do anything and everything, but unfortunately that is not the case.
It really is kind of sad that the once, pristine role model for up and coming young golfers has fallen below the I’m just human barometer. Keeping his private life private is virtually impossible particularly when he is publically romping around Las Vegas and every other tinsel town around the planet.
Let’s hope he has really had a relevatory awakening as a result of his unfortunate shenanigans…he has hurt and disappointed a whole lot of people…only time will tell if he really learned anything worthwhile from the high cost of infamy.
