Robbery attempt at Paris Hilton’s place: A man has been arrested at Paris Hilton’s Los Angeles home after the socialite said he tried to break into her house while holding two big knives. Posting a picture of cops arresting a man in her garden, she wrote: “So scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes (sic). Cops are here arresting him.”

Local police officer Gregory Baek confirms a man in his 40s attempted to break into Hilton’s mansion at approximately 6:30am local time and was taken into custody at a local jail.

Hilton also posted a picture on her Twitter account of cops outside her home shortly after officers arrived.

“I can confirm that in the early hours of this morning an armed man with two kitchen knives attempted to break in to Paris Hilton’s home when she was sleeping,” Hilton’s publicit said in a statement. “The security cameras and alarm system were alerted and the police immediately came to the house and arrested the intruder who was attempting to break a window when they arrived. Paris is naturally shaken by the events but is unharmed and well. She is very thankful to her security team and the police for their swift and diligent response.”
