Holy, James Bond! Russian spies living, working, and spying in the U.S. You know good and well that every country has its spies and spy network, canvassing countries around the globe for whatever intelligence they can get their hands on to ensure their advantage in the world of international politics.
Spying probably goes back to when Adam was spying on Eve chomping on that apple in the Garden of Eden. It is nice to know that American Intelligence is busy at work and these news stories are the ones they can share publically. Just think about the number of covert operations that go on that we don’t hear about. And we probably would not want to hear about them anyway because the awareness of evil can be a very debilitating experience.
Suffice it to say that spies are everywhere. No need to get paranoid. Spying, in fact, is a necessary part of governing, something the Founding Fathers, no doubt, found distasteful, but essential is securing and sustaining our freedoms as a democratic nation now and in the future.
